The client is a Dubai-based innovation firm specializing in the fusion of design and technology to create exceptional products. With a presence in the UAE, USA, India, and China, the client serves a global clientele, including high-end automotive brands like Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, and Tesla. They client operates through two primary divisions:
Automotive: Provides premium design, engineering, and product management services tailored to the automotive industry.
Lifestyle: Specializes in luxury product design and branding solutions, elevating lifestyle brands through innovative design.
Responsibilities:
Understand test plans based on product specifications, OEM, and international standards.
Set up tests for electrical and electronic device products (e.g., automotive wireless chargers, logo lights).
Execute validation tests for new products during development.
Operate various instruments: oscilloscope, LLCR, DMM, LabView, electronic loads, AC/DC power supplies, EMI/EMC tools, vibration shaker, UTM, climatic chambers, etc.
Evaluate and analyze test results.
Perform tear-down analysis in case of deviations from specifications.
Conduct failure analysis of products.
Coordinate calibration and service for electrical/electronic test/measuring equipment.
Communicate with design, engineering teams, and customers regarding validation aspects.
Knowledge and application of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management system.
Experience and Qualifications:
Diploma in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering.
More than 4 years’ experience in an electronic/electrical component testing laboratory.
Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 (NABL) accredited laboratories is an added advantage.
Understanding drawings, tolerance charts, and standards.
Knowledge of measurement methods.
Understanding of test plans and specifications.
Operating electrical/electronic equipment, climatic chambers, vibration chambers/shakers, UTM for mechanical tests, sealing tests (IPX9k, IPX7/8), dust chambers, and salt spray chambers.
Analysis, reporting, reviewing, and authorization of test results.
Calibration report review of mechanical/metrology instruments.
Establishing uncertainty of calibration masters in lab.
Following safety procedures for equipment.
Revalidation procedures: equipment, inspection criteria, reaction plan.
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and NABL requirements.
Analysing and synthesizing ability.
Customer orientation.
Troubleshooting/problem-solving ability.
Engineering/Diploma in Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Metrology.
ISO/IEC 17025 training (Recommended).
