The Assistant Manager – Sales & Business Development plays a key role in driving sales strategy execution, managing client relationships, and supporting day-to-day sales team operations. This role combines commercial, operational, and financial responsibility, with a strong focus on OEM and dealership engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements
Develop and execute short-term and long-term sales strategies to build profitable, long-term partnerships with OEMs and dealerships
Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories
Coordinate commercial discussions and negotiations with OEMs and dealer partners
Oversee daily sales team activities, including target setting, scheduling, and performance tracking
Analyze sales data, prepare forecasts (monthly/quarterly), and ensure execution of sales plans
Prepare and present sales reports with key performance metrics and insights
Monitor customer satisfaction, manage feedback, and resolve escalated issues
Conduct market and competitor analysis, sharing insights with senior management
Liaise with designers and product engineers to communicate market feedback and new product ideas
Maintain accurate sales records, CRM updates, and sales documentation
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
7+ years of sales experience within the automotive sector
Strong exposure to OEM sales environments and dealership ecosystems
Experience working with major OEMs such as Toyota, BMW, Volkswagen, Nissan, MG, BYD, or Chery
Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring sales teams
Strong analytical, forecasting, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools
Established OEM and industry network is highly preferred
