Job Description:
Lead and drive air freight sales strategy across Malaysia with a focus on inbound and outbound shipments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, airlines, and key decision-makers at client organizations.
Collaborate with operations and pricing teams to develop tailored air freight solutions that meet client requirements and service expectations.
Maintain deep knowledge of air cargo market trends, airline capabilities, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Provide accurate weekly sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to senior management.
Drive new business development and account acquisition within key industry verticals (e.g., electronics, pharma, automotive, retail).
Ensure seamless coordination of door-to-door air freight shipments, including express, consolidation, and charter services.
Negotiate and manage carrier contracts and maintain strong airline/vendor partnerships.
Ensure timely and transparent communication with clients on shipment updates, milestones, and issue resolution.
Monitor invoicing timelines and support collections to ensure healthy cash flow and mitigate financial risk.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in air freight sales or air cargo operations, preferably with a freight forwarder or logistics company.
Strong network within the air freight and airline industry is highly preferred.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical thinking and multitasking abilities.
Open to relocation within company branches in the UAE if required.
