Business Development Manager – Freight & Logistics
Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia
Reporting to: Regional/Commercial Manager
About the client
Our client is the NVOCC arm of a well known Shipping and Logistics Entity, is a leading special equipment carrier operating across the India subcontinent, Middle East, CIS, East Africa, and Southeast Asia. Utilizing a fleet of over 6,000 containers (including reefers, open tops, and flat racks), we provide tailored project and breakbulk solutions.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will drive growth in Dammam by:
Conducting market research to identify clients and trends
Building and managing a pipeline of qualified leads
Developing the company’s presence in the region
Key Responsibilities
Perform thorough market research and competitor analysis
Identify and engage prospects to understand their needs and provide tailored logistics solutions
Build and maintain a strong client base and strategic partnerships
Manage a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed targets
Prepare and deliver professional proposals and presentations
Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and pricing agreements
Close deals and drive quarterly revenue goals
Stay alert to opportunities for expanding services or new geographic markets
Track and report on performance, forecasting and adjusting strategies as needed
Maintain contract compliance and accurate sales records
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred)
Experience: Minimum 3 years in freight forwarding/logistics business development in Saudi Arabia
Proven track record in cold calling, negotiations, and deal closures
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities
Highly self-motivated with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Additional strengths: Microsoft Office proficiency, critical thinking, and leadership capabilities
